Impact Resistant Composition Shingles

Impact resistant, or hail resistant, shingles were introduced into our market in 1997. They have a UL 2218 Class IV rating and are designed to protect the integrity of the shingle structure from moderate hail.  Most insurance companies offer a reduction in homeowner’s insurance premiums, many around 20%, with the installation of these shingles.  We have been installing these shingles since they were introduced, and they have proven successful in protecting from damage due to moderate hail.

GAF Timberline ArmorShield II | colors available

These shingles utilize a modified asphalt formula that produces a rubber like flexibility for maximum impact resistance while maintaining the look of the Timberline series. (Limited lifetime warranty)

Certainteed Landmark IR

These shingles are produced to resist damage from hail with an added durable reinforcement on the underside of the shingle. They feature soft shadow lines and a patented color blending process. (Limited lifetime warranty)

Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration STORM

These shingles utilize a special adhesive to retain the protective granules during severe weather as well as a reinforced base and an enhanced sealant. They are available in six textured color blends. (Limited lifetime warranty)

Malarkey Legacy | colors available

These shingles are fortified with Malarkey’s unique polymer modified asphalt technology to ensure greater granule adhesion. (Limited lifetime warranty)
